ABOUT ME 

Hi, my name is Rebekah Hoare and I am a 21 one-year-old girl from a town in south wales named Caerphilly. I am currently studying my third year of a fashion promotion course at the University of South Wales and I am due to graduate in the summer of 2020.

I am studying fashion promotion at university because it provides the opportunity to develop and showcase my creative skills in a supportive environment. As I begin to end my 3 years at university, I now feel ready to test the skills and techniques I have developed in the classroom, by applying myself in a professional setting. Working within an e-commerce role is the next natural step towards pursuing a career within the fashion industry after university. I am particularly interested in the social media and brand development aspect of the fashion industry, and the power that well-promoted products have on a brand, attitudes towards a brand, and consumer decisions. For my final major project, I decided to make my own clothing brand. This project, as well as my three years in university, has made me confident in using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Animate.  I loved creating this project and it inspired me to carry on with the brand and it made me want to dive into the deep end of the fashion world.

I am a sociable individual who enjoys meeting new people, going to the gym, volunteering, and sharing creative ideas. I am always looking to my surroundings for inspiration and use networking to learn from others that can spark my own creative work. Social media has become a highly valuable tool for the fashion industry and I actively use it to broaden my own creative horizon. As a fluent Welsh speaker, I am also fascinated by the variety of fashion trends that can be found in different cultures around the world, particularly the interesting use of bold colours and patterns. My natural curiosity ensures I am always actively looking for new ideas and I have shown at school, university, and employment to be a determined, hard-working, and diligent person who thrives under pressure.
